Before you pick
What's the difference between Online and Desktop?
Where it runs and how you pay. Online is a subscription in any browser, with bank feeds, the mobile app and invited people included. Desktop is a program you buy once and own, with your books in a file on your own machine; add the optional Connected subscription later if you want the cloud on top. It is the same engine and the same three editions either way.
Is Desktop really a one-time price?
Yes. You pay once and the license is yours. Nothing expires, and the program keeps working if you never pay us again. Connected is the only subscription on Desktop, and it is optional.
Do I need Connected?
Only if you want the cloud on Desktop: bank feeds we pay for, your books on every machine, in a browser and on your phone, and people invited into your books. It costs $15, $22 or $35 a month on Basic, Pro or Firm. Online already includes all of it.
What is a business book, and what if I need more?
A book is one complete set of books for one business. Basic includes 1, Pro 2, and Firm is unlimited. Need another? On Online it's $9 a month per book; on Desktop it's $50 once per book. When more books would cost more than Firm, we offer you Firm instead.
Who can I invite, and do they pay?
Every book you own takes you plus 1 invited person on Basic (usually your accountant), 3 on Pro, and unlimited people on Firm. The people you invite never pay, and each gets a role: accountant, staff, field or viewer. On Desktop, invitations go through Connected.
Is there a free trial?
Online gives you 14 days free with no card. Desktop gives you 5 days of Basic or Pro, your choice, also with no card. Either way your books are still yours when the trial ends.
What happens if I cancel Online?
You always get a full export of your books. If you've paid for Online for two months or more in total, we also email you a free Neo-Capital Desktop Basic license when your subscription ends, so you can keep opening them on your own machine forever.
