Neo-Capital is local-first desktop accounting software published by OMNIS Softworks Inc. This policy explains what we collect — and, far more importantly, what we don't. The short version: your books never leave your computer.
1.The short version
Your financial data — your transactions, ledger, reports, and backups — lives in a file on your own device. The Neo-Capital application does not transmit your books to us or to anyone else. We operate no cloud account that holds your financials, and we cannot see your data.
2.What the app keeps (on your device only)
On your computer, Neo-Capital stores your books in a local database file, any backups you create, your settings, and your license key. None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the app does not delete your data file — it stays with you.
3.What we collect when you buy
When you purchase through this website, we and our payment processor receive your name, email address, and billing details needed to complete the sale. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never receive or store your full card number. We also record which edition you bought and the license key we generate for you. We use this to deliver your license, provide support, honor refunds, and meet our legal and tax obligations.
4.License validation is offline
The app verifies your license key locally, using a public key embedded in the software. It does not phone home, ping a server, or report your usage. Neo-Capital works fully offline.
5.Website analytics
neocapital.app uses privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (Vercel Analytics) to understand traffic — things like page views and referrers. We don't use it to build advertising profiles, and we don't sell your data.
6.Email
After a purchase we email your license key and download links, and we reply when you contact support. Messages come from river@vapor95.com(license delivery may arrive from a Neo-Capital sending address). We don't sell or rent your email address or send marketing without your consent.
7.AI features — bring your own
AI is optional. If you connect your own AI assistant (for example Claude, Gemini, or Codex) via an MCP client, the prompts and the book data you choose to share go directly to that provider under their privacy policy and terms. We do not proxy, store, or see those conversations. Connecting an AI is your decision, and that data flow is between you and the provider you pick.
8.Third parties we rely on
Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), and our email provider (license delivery). Each handles only the limited information needed to do its job. None of them receive your financial books.
9.Data retention
We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide support, honor the warranty and refund window, and satisfy legal and tax requirements. Your books are retained only by you, on your own device.
10.Your rights
You can ask us to access or delete the personal information we hold about you — your name, email, and purchase record — by emailing river@vapor95.com. (We can't delete what we never had: your books live only on your device.)
11.Children
Neo-Capital is intended for business and personal bookkeeping by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above.
